Dear Friends,
I take the liberty of reminding you that the "UICC International Cancer Technology Transfer (ICRETT)" fellowships offer an opportunity for suitably qualified candidates to further develop their research or clinical management expertise through short, 1-3 month long fellowships abroad.
About 130 awards are made per year, each with an average value of $3,000 for travel and 1 month stipend. Candidates may apply AT ANY TIME. Awards are based on an international expert review of the project to be carried out under the fellowship, its relevance/benefit to the career development of the candidate and the ongoing activities in the home organizations, as well as the candidate's scientific, medical background and expertise. Funding decisions are usually reached within 60 days if not before. To be eligible, candidates must hold a salaried staff position at an institute/organization to where they would return at the end of the fellowship. They must have obtained an invitation from a suitable host abroad. To assist in the search for a suitable host, the UICC International Directory of Cancer Organization may be helpful (http://www.uicc.org/directory/).
